Hank Jordan
Hank was in the same USNA Company with Rich
Furiga and Sam. He served in submarines, retired from the Navy and now has
his own investment counseling business in suburban Baltimore. Hank is an
accomplished pianist, having taught himself to play at an early age. Like Irving
Berlin, who also played by ear, Hank played all music in one of two keys: C:
white keys, or F#, black keys. In his later years, Hank has studied music on his
own and now plays and composes music in all keys. One of his compositions,
"All Things Beautiful And Good", was the favorite hymn of
John Cardinal O'Connor
when he served in the Baltimore Arch-Diocese.
He took it with him to New York and it became the hymn most played at
St.
Patrick's Cathedral. Hank performs regularly at hospitals and hospices
in the Baltimore area. Sometimes he is joined by his daughter, Jennifer, who is
Cantor at Shrine Of The Sacred Heart
and Soloist at
Cathedral of May Our Queen.
